Metallica Ponce

Metallica started volunteering with My Pit Bull is Family in 2020. After taking her 4 dogs to one of the organization’s events she was inspired by what the My Pit Bull is Family was doing for the community and felt compelled to be part of the organization. Metallica works for the University of Minnesota in the Office for Business Community Economic Development, helping to reduce the growing inequality of access to information technologies among low-income and disadvantaged groups. Along with working at the UMN, she is also a current student majoring in Communications. Metallica also does freelance work for entrepreneurs to help them make their creative mark through various platforms with innovative and fresh ideas. Metallica lives in North Minneapolis with her husband Juan and 5 kids. In Metallica’s free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hosting gatherings, listening to music, learning new things and of course having fun with her 4 dogs, Major, Boom, Daz, and Short Dog.
